YOHEI YAMAKI

 

愛知県名古屋市を拠点に、2000年よりアパレルブランドやミュージシャンを中心に多様な制作活動を展開。グラフィックデザイン、アニメーション、グラフィティアート、商品企画など、ジャンルを横断する幅広い分野で活躍している。 2007年には「NIKE CHINA Hoop」プロジェクトにて、レブロン・ジェームズを起用したメイングラフィックを担当。同年、CONVERSE USAの「CHUCK TAYLOR」デザインも手がける。2016年にはJustin Bieberのワールドツアーにおいて、バックダンサー・中井勇佑および当時オープニングアクトだったPost Maloneのステージ衣装をプロデュース。 2018年にはパリのヒップホップカルチャーセンター「La Place」で開催された「WU LAB EXHIBITION」に作品を出展。 現在はクライアントワークに加え、「My Beautiful Yokai Fantasy」をテーマに、日本文化、グラフィティ、ミリタリーの要素を通じて、自身の内面を映し出すアート制作にも注力している。

Based in Nagoya, Aichi, Yohei Yamaki has been engaged in a wide range of creative activities since 2000, primarily working with apparel brands and musicians. His work spans across various disciplines, including graphic design, animation, graffiti art, and product planning, crossing boundaries between genres. In 2007, he was in charge of the main graphic for the “NIKE CHINA Hoop” project featuring LeBron James. That same year, he also designed for CONVERSE USA’s “CHUCK TAYLOR.” In 2016, he produced stage outfits for dancer Yusuke Nakai and then-opening act Post Malone during Justin Bieber’s world tour. In 2018, his artwork was exhibited at the “WU LAB EXHIBITION” held at La Place, a hip-hop culture center in Paris. Currently, in addition to client work, he is also focused on producing personal artworks under the theme “My Beautiful Yokai Fantasy,” exploring his inner world through elements of Japanese culture, graffiti, and military aesthetics.
